Merry Christmas and No Baby Yet!
My hopes for a Christmas baby have been dashed! It's now the day after and I don't see my girl coming out any time soon. Of course, I am still only 36 1/2 weeks, but stranger things have happened. I was hoping she'd come while family was in town and I could bribe them to extend their stay for a few days...or weeks...or months. We've been watching Bringing Home Baby on TLC and damn! Taking care of a newborn looks really hard! They are so tiny and fragile and what if their blanket gets up in their face and smothers them and what if they cry and cry for no reason and oh my god they have to be watched all the time and GAAHHHH! I should stop watching that show.
And now, for your viewing pleasure, the last (hopefully) of my belly shots:

Okay, the second one is a little 'pregnant woman racy', but I thought it might be a nice one for Kirk. If I ever actually get around to printing any of the pictures out. I'm about as good at that as I am at updating my blog.
I'm really having a tough time believing I will actually have a baby soon. I think I've put the whole birth thing and first few weeks of having a newborn out of my head. I tend to think, 'well, in a few weeks I won't be pregnant anymore!' and then my imagination kind of jumps ahead a few years to when I have an adorable toddler who I can take to the zoo. Those in between times haven't really registered. Though I'm sure they'll be consistently delightful. Especially the birth.
So that's it! Just playing the waiting game now. Hopefully my next post will contain a beautiful picture of our daughter!

i bet your daughter was thinking, "hell no, i'm not coming out at christmas! i will totally get jacked on gifts then." cuz she's super smart.
;) sizz
Have you picked out a name yet or not going to share till she's out and pooping and such?
I'm sure you'll be a terrific mommy. I was a nanny so there's nothing to it. Just have a lot of love and hugs and laugh and play and be merry and silly and enjoy!
Peace, Amy (inky)
Great pictures. So sweet.
And don't worry...you'll have a baby soon enough and you won't even remember what it's like to be pregnant. I know that sounds crazy now, but it's true!

I never thought about having a newborn either, even while decorating the nursery and washing baby clothes. I guess we all have instinct, because I've never been around a very young baby. I also try not to think ahead. LOL I'm very excited for you!!
